Thanks! This week I've received the new carbon fiber MT-0S Airbox Cover (only 2 exist manufactured in carbon fiber actually). Pics soon!

    (MT-01) Tank 125€

Ciao ragazzi, I have for sale my previous tank. It´s in good condition because it never crashed (it´s surfaces are OK) and it works perfectly. But it has some scratches and the left triangle that fix the seat broke because of the vibrations (frequent issue in this bike) some time ago, but it´s easily repairable and I was using it during a couple of years with no problem. Because of this two negative points, it´s price is pretty low (comparing with Ebay ones) = 125€ * Shipping from Barcelona, Spain and Paypal rates (+4´5%) not included) I think it´s perfect for somebody who has a more damaged one and want to replace it, or also for example to prepare it for extra capacity +15l... I could paint it and sell it more expensive, but I think that the one who would buy it may prefer chose it´s own colour/graphic design. Some pics:

Thanks buddies! The graphic design of the tank was easy to do for me... the colours choice was the most difficult!!! I did almost 20 different colour combinations!

No man!!! I'm a transportation designer, but not an exhaust maker. The linkpipe job was done by Blaze Racing... You can find them in Facebook. They are awesome good making any kind of exhaust, specially titanium ones for competition. I explained them what I wanted and the position of the pipes where I wanted them and they made it in one day. Fast&Loud!!!

Thanks thanks and thanks Loren ... I knew his work! The only problem is that I´m pretty interested in carbon fiber to match with the rest of the components of my bike... VTR would be as last choice... For the moment I´ll design the part in 3D software and maybe I´ll print it 3D to test it in the bike. If it works I´ll look where to produce the covers!

Ciao Ragazzi! This weekend I was doing some homework. 1. Painting the dB Killers 2. Silicon plug to close the hole of the pipes where we mount the dB Killer fixing screw. 3. Installing the MotoGP pipes and test them. First I took out the custom dB Killers to paint them black. You can see them and also it´s diameter (48mm vs 65mm of the MotoGP pipes): For the paint job I used black heat resistant paint and silicon: black paint (800º) and black silicon for the plugs (300º). Ready to install and test!!! Tank zoom: I installed the MotoGP pipes with the dB Killes in order to make their loudness civilized enough... After a ride crossing the town and also testing in the highway, I think that the loudness right now is perfect: It´s maybe still louder than the Stage2 without dB killers. but the loudness was reduced enough to be considered OK to drive it and enjoy the bike at high rpm... Next targets: 1. New carbon fiber airbox cover (it´s already being manufactured) 2. Custom carbon fiber pipe covers (I´ll start the design ASAP)

    Nice bike man! Congrats

Yes, it´s removable... I also like the backwarded position of the original MotoGP mesh, but it was impossible to put it even depper if we can reduce the loudness. I also like the hexagonal mesh, but using this kind of mesh the dB Killer would be visible and the target of putting a mesh in my pipes was to hide the real dB Killer inside. Etorty, I think that you´re wrong: The MotoGP mesh is not black painted... It´s darker because of the smoke and the flames!

No problem Omar, Google translator helps me to understand italian! :-P Good point, you win folk! I didn´t bear in mind if the power was measured to the sprocket or to the wheel...

Man... How can you say that 85,5hp is a great result for a Stage1??? The MT-01 has 90hp with the stock settings!!! With the Akrapovic Stage 1 the MT-01 may gain 1-2 hp... Or may not gain any hp... But 4,5 hp less than the stock one??? That's not OK anyway man! At least it should have the same powet than a stock MT-01

I'm pretty sure that it will be pretty different qhen you'll get a Stage 2 ECU mate.

Only 78,5 hp? Damn!!! Your ECU is the stock one?

Last updates: New tank installed. I'll do some pics this weekend. The dB Killers for the MotoGP pipes are ready: We tryed to get something like the MotoGP stuff: I'll install the MotoGP pipes this weekend to test the sound with the dB Killers... I hope it will be enought! P.S.: I think I´ll paint the fly-eyes black colour...

Hi Mimmo! Thanks for the explanation. Some minuts ago I asked to my mechanic of Yamaha about this topic... and in his opinion I don´t need a Power Commander. I´ll tell you his explanation: He says that if I were using the stock ECU of the stock exhausts, the Power Commander would be a must, because the bike wouldn´t work OK at all... but the thing is that I´m using the Stage 2 ECU and the most important thing when you change the exhaust line is the exhaust manifolds, while the the result of varying the mufflers is virtually nil (unless its diameter is less than the manifold diameter, in which case we would lose power as consequence of hindering the gas fluidity). So if you change the exhaust manifolds for a set with a different width and you don´t change the ECU, your ECU will work in a wrong way because it´s set for these previous exhaust manifolds. But I have the right ECU for the current exhaust Manifolds (Akrapovic Stage 2 ECU). It´s true that I´ll have the explosions and maybe with a very well configured PCV they could disappear, but no dangerous consequences are expected in his opinion, it´s not possible to have a too lean mixture (dangerous for the valves) using the Stage 2 ECU... In fact a good friend told me that when this ECU feels too gap, it solves it adding more gas to the mixture, because of it the explosions happen... and in fact the explosions also happen with the Stage 2 (and Stage 3) pipes... When I´ll get the racing pipes back (they are in the Blaze workshop in order to make the dB Killers) I´ll install them and I´ll go to Yamaha to show him the result and noise to have his feedback again... Anyway I´ll continue keeping more info and studying the Power Commander option...

I think it could be very interesting if you would do a detailed accessories list with photos and prices...

A second video to check again the sound: IMG_5048.MOV My question is: If I don´t use a Power Commander and I let the bike like it is right now, can it cause some problems to the bike? Or It only affects to the sound and explosions?

    (MT-01) Miura

Are you sure? I tested the bike and I think that it works OK... But I'm not an expert., of course... The ECU of my bike is the Akrapovic Stage2 one... I have another video. I'll attach it to let you listen the bike outside... Would a Power Commander optimize the carburation performance?
