etorty Inviato 24 Aprile, 2015 alle 10:28 Inviato 24 Aprile, 2015 alle 10:28 Yeah! For me, much better "in black", definitely! I like so much the MotoGP-type because of the recessed grid (and because it's black, too). Plus, I like the honeycomb pattern, in the MotoGP's pipes. ------- Yeah! Per me, molto meglio "in nero", sicuramente! Mi piace molto il "tipo MotoGP" a causa della griglia arretrata (e anche perché è nera). In più, mi piace il pattern a nido d'ape, in quegli scarichi.

Just a question, is the dBkiller in this configuration extractable? Yes, it´s removable... I also like the backwarded position of the original MotoGP mesh, but it was impossible to put it even depper if we can reduce the loudness. I also like the hexagonal mesh, but using this kind of mesh the dB Killer would be visible and the target of putting a mesh in my pipes was to hide the real dB Killer inside. Etorty, I think that you´re wrong: The MotoGP mesh is not black painted... It´s darker because of the smoke and the flames! Modificato 24 Aprile, 2015 alle 12:54 da Miura
Miura Inviato 27 Aprile, 2015 alle 09:02 Autore Inviato 27 Aprile, 2015 alle 09:02 (modificato) Ciao Ragazzi! This weekend I was doing some homework. 1. Painting the dB Killers 2. Silicon plug to close the hole of the pipes where we mount the dB Killer fixing screw. 3. Installing the MotoGP pipes and test them. First I took out the custom dB Killers to paint them black. You can see them and also it´s diameter (48mm vs 65mm of the MotoGP pipes): For the paint job I used black heat resistant paint and silicon: black paint (800º) and black silicon for the plugs (300º). Ready to install and test!!! Tank zoom: I installed the MotoGP pipes with the dB Killes in order to make their loudness civilized enough... After a ride crossing the town and also testing in the highway, I think that the loudness right now is perfect: It´s maybe still louder than the Stage2 without dB killers. but the loudness was reduced enough to be considered OK to drive it and enjoy the bike at high rpm... Next targets: 1. New carbon fiber airbox cover (it´s already being manufactured) 2. Custom carbon fiber pipe covers (I´ll start the design ASAP) Modificato 27 Aprile, 2015 alle 09:07 da Miura 5
TorqueMaster Inviato 27 Aprile, 2015 alle 09:05 Inviato 27 Aprile, 2015 alle 09:05 Awesome, awesome and even more awesome. The new tank fits incredibly well with the frame, my compliments!P.S: just a suggestion, I opened a "Special Works" section for the 01 >>here, one of our historical members has made some VTR pieces like the heat guards that could possibly fit your exhausts... plus some other fancy things from other guys. 1
Miura Inviato 27 Aprile, 2015 alle 10:08 Autore Inviato 27 Aprile, 2015 alle 10:08 Thanks thanks and thanks Loren ... I knew his work! The only problem is that I´m pretty interested in carbon fiber to match with the rest of the components of my bike... VTR would be as last choice... For the moment I´ll design the part in 3D software and maybe I´ll print it 3D to test it in the bike. If it works I´ll look where to produce the covers!
AD MAJORA Inviato 28 Aprile, 2015 alle 20:58 Inviato 28 Aprile, 2015 alle 20:58 now I´ll have to build a handmade titanium part between the mufflers and the "Y" and also some fixing element to the subframe. You build the titanium part between the mufflers and the "Y" by yourself ??!! Good job Hai costruito da solo le parti in titanio fra i terminali e la "Y" ??!! Ottimo lavoro
Miura Inviato 28 Aprile, 2015 alle 22:42 Autore Inviato 28 Aprile, 2015 alle 22:42 (modificato) No man!!! I'm a transportation designer, but not an exhaust maker. The linkpipe job was done by Blaze Racing... You can find them in Facebook. They are awesome good making any kind of exhaust, specially titanium ones for competition. I explained them what I wanted and the position of the pipes where I wanted them and they made it in one day. Fast&Loud!!! Modificato 28 Aprile, 2015 alle 22:43 da Miura
